TIPMedia.Net? Whaaaat!?

Their little trailer ;)
What is TIPMedia.Net?!
It's a blog run by 2 Business IT students from Ngee Ann Poly, which takes its readers through their 6-month attachment. Besides documenting their (hopeful)progress, they'll post up useful links, some interesting encounters, and everything else that grants them the title 'Peeps-With-Issues'.

What the FRUITPASTE is 'TIP'?
It stands for Technopreneurship Incubation Programme. Still don't understand what it is?

Neither do they!!

All they know is that they've gotta create an IT Business, with planned side projects of IT Awareness and Community Service. They need your help in commenting, and maybe even chip in some ideas that you may have!

Follow them as they take you to new heights of utilizing the web to the fullest! Or just watch out for their crazy escapades in search of success as technopreneurs!

How can you say no to faces like this?

They'll be waiting for you!

Why is it 'honeymoon'? Part III
Friday, September 4, 2009

"So, Clara. Now we know why."

It was the accepted practice in Babylon, 4,000 years ago, that for a month after the wedding, the bride's father would supply his son-in-law with all the mead he could drink.

Mead is a honey beer and because their calendar was lunar-based, this period was called the honey month, which we know today as the honeymoon.

Why is it 'honeymoon'? Part II
Tuesday, September 1, 2009

"So, Clara, I thought of another story."

"This husband and wife decided to walk to the ends of the earth. The earth is square, so they sat at the edge and dangled their legs.

"Because their legs were dangling off the edge, it looked as if they were standing on the moon.

"The view was very nice, and the wife said that it was such a lovely day. The moon looked the colour of honey.

"The husband then said, 'Well, I guess we're on a honeymoon.'"

Why is it 'honeymoon'? Part I

"So, Clara, why do they call it honeymoon?"

"Well, see, it's because last time, there was this couple who got married. And didn't have anything to eat, only this honey-covered thing. And they didn't have any TV to watch and only had windows.

"Left with the honey-covered thing to eat, they sit near the window to eat so that they won't be so bored.

"The husband didn't study much, but he was still trying to teach his wife new words.

"So he said 'honeymoon'.

"And one little magical rabbit wrote down what he said and buried it under a tree. And for years on, the couple's children eat fruits from that tree. Somehow, it's in their minds that honeymoon is the time spent by husband and wives after the wedding ceremony.

"And the children pass on the knowledge. Till what we have today."

Rich shits
Sunday, August 23, 2009

It's haunting me even in my dreams.

Yesterday, I dreamt that I was in Masina, then I had to pee.

So Mr Ashraf looks at the clock and says, "I'll give you either 4 minutes or 5 minutes."

I agreed and rushed out of the room. As I ran out, he shouted, "4 minutes!"

And the "toilet" I went to was my Bukit Batok home kitchen. But I couldn't pee.

So Elaine comes out of the classroom and says, "Ah yah, go to the toilet and pee lah." I think the toilet was like, exclusive to rich people. Yes, you heard me. Rich people.

So I went to the toilet, but I still couldn't pee. And then it flashed through my mind that, I was 'Poor Qiu-Lyng', and Elaine was 'Rich Elaine', and only rich people could pee.

How fucking sad/istic is that?

But the good thing about the dream, was that Timothy came into the toilet as well, and asked Elaine, "Did you pee on the wall?"

And she said yes, and he replied, "Pee on your own wall." And somehow, that was equivalent to liking me. Like, he wanted to keep the wall for me to pee on. Haha, what the fuck right?

And Elaine says, "But I thought you liked _____?"

Timothy pauses for a moment, before saying, "I say again, pee on your own wall." Then he left to go back to class.

When Elaine comes back a little while later, Mr Ashraf asked why she took so long, and she said sneakily, "Because I found out SOMEONE likes to pee on their OWN wall."

I could even see the 'someone' and 'own' in capital letters.

I have no idea what the dream was about man.

But there you have it: rich people rule the world.

This is Kwon Jiyong, a.k.a. G-Dragon, leader of Big Bang.

He's one of my favourite guys. He's the number 6th guy in the row of square pictures you see above.

This is freaking funny. So poor thing!

251st Blog Post!

It is my 251st blog post! Nope, not 250th because I don't like 250th; I like 251st.

...

Okay, I just forgot and posted a post before this. But it's okay, 251st is as close to 250th as anything can get.

But, that's not the point. What I just wanted to say is, even though my past banners have been gold and glittery and celebratory looking, this banner is coolass. Just felt like it. The "just felt like it" is my main point.

Going on, I am proud of myself for coming so far, yesh! I should have come so far in LiveJournal, then easier to download things, tsk.

Leather armband
Thursday, August 13, 2009

I just realised I love the look of this on guys.

It's this leather armband that, from what I know, artists use to hold up their sleeves while they work.

I'm going crazy not knowing the exact name for it.

This infatuation may have started with Kim Bum, but I only realised I like it when guys wear it because of another picture.

I think it's damn sexy.
